Can you have two accounts one for stock footage and one for after effects files??? Thanks
footagecentral… read the posts above. You can have more than one account, but multiple accounts are reserved for when an author wants an exclusive account, and a non-exclusive account. Multiple accounts aren’t permitted for selling different types of media.
Plus, having one account means your commission rate will increase faster as an exclusive author.

I haven’t noticed any connectivity issues over the past 4-5 days, so hopefully the problems are beginning to clear themselves up. But yes, these issues do seem to be affecting sales considering most authors claim to be down from their sales averages for May, during what’s normally a very solid month.
Maybe the fact that customers haven’t been able to access the site might mean they’ll continue buying further into June, which is traditionally the start of the slow season. We can only hope!

MotionRevolver, what do you as a reviewer think about a general price increase?
As a reviewer, I have no opinion on prices.
As an author, sure I’d love to see an increase in prices. But I’m not going to hold my breath either

Guys! My 2K motion graphics elements have just increase from around 6$ – 10$ to 20$! Is this a bug and temporary? or is the change to prices really happening?
It’s not a bug. Your 2K file should have been priced higher from the beginning, so the price increase was an error that was corrected.

Dan, this is exactly what the Item Discussion in the forum is for, to discuss issues with particular items, which I’d imagine is the reason you opened this thread with links to your rejected projects. I don’t think we are boring anyone
I’m attempting to help you understand what separates the projects that are approved from the projects you’ve had rejected, in hopes that you may avoid rejections in the future. However, I feel as though we aren’t getting much accomplished with this conversation, since it’s apparent that you are convinced the review process is unfair and based on the reviewer’s taste.
Just so we’re on the same page, “execution” and “appearance” aren’t mutually exclusive. If something is not executed well, wouldn’t you say that it’s appearance is not very good? But I think we’re just splitting hairs at this point.
It does sound as though you’re on top of it though, which is great, and we look forward to seeing your improved projects.
Best of luck!

I know my work is not the best, that’s why I keep trying like everyone else.
I just don’t want to change my style so it can fit Envato’s and reviewer’s taste.

It’s not that you have to completely change your style, Dan, but the quality does need to improve for some of your projects to be considered acceptable for sale on the marketplace. This isn’t about you having to change yourself in any way, it’s about improving and evolving your existing style to better yourself as a motion graphics artist.
In this industry, if you remain stagnant and aren’t willing to change with the times, frankly you’ll get left behind. Personally, when I look back at animations that I designed 5 years ago, I laugh at how bad I think they look. But at the time, I thought they were amazing! I’m sure that’s the case for most of us.
The fact of the matter is, as authors, we all have to improve as time goes on. Some of the projects that are in my own portfolio wouldn’t be approved if I submitted them today because our quality standards have risen.
You keep mentioning that you think there are recently accepted projects that are “crap” compared to yours. What is important to realize is that we DO in fact accept projects that are simple in design and execution. However, those simple projects need to be exceptionally-designed and professionally executed.
There’s a major disconnect when you say that you’re not willing to change anything about your work, but continue to be upset about not getting your projects approved for sale.
Again, just keep working on it Dan. You’re very close, but you need to push the envelope a bit, if you’re willing to do so.

Question. What about revostock? Are sales dropped too in revostock? Does anybody know? Is this common problem or just ours?
Interesting that you ask. My sales seem to be slightly up on those “other” marketplaces, including my own website.
Could this be due to the recent accessibility issues with our Envato marketplaces?
