AIR for mobile and desktop has it own place and much brighter future than Flash Player on the web. html5 is not a direct competitor to it and can’t do anything like AIR does, just let you know.

I may agree to a certain point. Going native is the best solution in the long term. However in my opinion, AIR is still awesome for rapidly prototyping applications and it’s a good tool for Flash developers trying to make a smooth transition.

And don’t forget that you can go hybrid (AIR + native extensions)

The point about Adobe policies is a good one… I still can’t believe they have dropped PixelBender technology

Hey Jay, you can use ‘event:’ on a piece of text and then listen to the TextEvent.LINK event:
