Scott – how about a banner or an information on the main page along the lines of “CHECK OUT OUR NEW CATEGORY – TRAX !!!” or something. I don’t think many buyers read forums and announcements, and the little TRAX button on the menu bar might appear quite enigmatic if you don’t know what it is.

I also think all this is a wonderful idea. Still, I think for it to work really well some questions must be addressed at some point.

First, the question of transfering existing (0-sales?) works to TRAX . I think it wouldn’t do much harm to allow it under certain conditions. Otherwise, there are some cool pieces which are wasted because they are not really suitable for background use. Second, there should really be SOME way for the buyers to purchase an extended license for those TRAX items. Exaggerated though it may be, imagine someone makes an awesome piece of music with 10000 trax sales… and there is no way to allow someone to use it in a hollywood movie or a commercial? Third, in time this will surely need more functionality. To name just a few things, I’m talking artworks, separate icon in the profile, some widgets for web etc… but that’s future.

I have a few music pieces ready which I hesitate to put on AudioJungle (I’m waiting for TRAX ) because of being an exclusive author. I was wondering if it would not be a good idea to be able to set exclusivity for a particular item (not the author). I know that we are allowed to have two accounts for this purpose but I am not sure if I would like to have a separate account with only 5 non-exclusive songs… Also these songs would not show in my main account, people visiting my main account would not find it, it would not increase my sales etc…

Anyway, does anyone actually have the two accounts? How is it working for you?

I’ve been using Pianoteq and it’s quite good. Physical modelling will be better in the long run, I guess, as it generally feels more versatile and … just right. On the other hand, I think it still has some way to go as far as the realistic sound is concerned.

The huge advantage is that instead of 30 DVDs of samples and 5 TB of required RAM you only have to download some 30mb.

@Dirtyflint Yeah, it’s not like I’m worried that the team is getting lazy or anything. I was just wondering how did it happen, this 10 times increase in the queue.

No extended license so far… I don’t want to sound too suspicious but I was wondering how many buyers actually realize that for certain uses you need an extended license.

I have a kind request to let me know about where my sounds are used in my profile but I guess hardly any buyers go there… Now I wonder why, oh why, didn’t I think about the info file before. It’s pure genius!

I finally got round to some recording after a month of holiday. I uploaded a file and it’s over 200th in the queue. Some time ago there used to be like 10-20 items to wait for usually… Did the amount of uploaded material increased by some 1000% or I was always lucky before? Or am I missing something here?:)
