Yup, I’m hearing you on this one fxprosound, I’m also an author. (ps. pozdrawiam :))
I say this as a half joke but still… what would you say to a badge for buying extended licenses? I’ve bought a couple of them (for commercial products) and I’m afraid if I bought regular ones instead nobody would notice. I’m even afraid there are those who do exactly that. Or they have no idea about the extended licenses whatsoever…
Generally, do you (other people) often buy extended licenses…. or is it more like registering WinRAR? If you know what I mean.
I’ve just seen a post on PhotoDune’s forum: “Join the next Envato bundle!” It will contain graphics for mobile devices.
What about AJ? Being an AJ author, can you sometimes apply for joining a bundle?
I am an Envato author on AudioJungle, but I also buy things on PhotoDune and other marketplaces. I’ve just entered the term ‘coffee’ into the search box and it returned some 631 pages of results. I found what I was looking for on page 300-something.
The point is, I’m not sure if you have a “what we don’t want” list here on PhotoDune but I would strongly suggest that you don’t reject things just because there’s a lot of them already. It’s really cool to have that many similar photos and be able to choose the perfect one from among them.
That said, the search engine could use something like a ‘sort by: random’. It’s because there are many wonderful files sitting somewhere in the middle of the search results and this is a place not many clients are brave enough to venture to.
Just got it working. I think I’ll stop using my Dropbox account from now on. I use the Google cloud for all sorts of things and GD is well integrated into this. That said, this service is really not an innovation as Google would have it…:)
@SaReGaMa Speaking of surround I once spent a couple of hours recording rain with a couple of mics in full 5.1. And only after submitting it I got to know AJ does not accept 5.1 wav files (yet?) and besides rain is on the What We Don’t Need blacklist. From then on I carefully check these things.:)
Have you ever had a big disappointment with an item that you thought was awesome and then it was hard rejected?
I had a sound or two rejected on the grounds of “too little utility” and once, a long time ago, I submitted a piano track that I thought was just perfect, and then I got the “we only want quality items” message. Most of the times I see the reviewer’s point so I don’t usually discuss my rejections. In fact now I am kind of glad that the piano track was not accepted.
How about you?

This is more of a question to the staff. Been just wondering on this slow sunday How much of the submitted material gets rejected? I mean, is it more of a 5% or 50%?
