Wow! It’s a holiday in Australia too (Queens Birthday). So many holidays!

All of my friends (well a lot of them) are having a mass exodus from Australia very soon (over the next few weeks) to do the stock standard, mid twenties, live overseas thing! So there’s a lot of going away parties I’m going to this weekend. Should be fun, but sad because I’ll miss my friends.

However! I’ll be going overseas (USA, Canada, West & Eastern Europe) for three months from September myself, so I’ll see them soon enough.

I have so many Buffy and Star Trek DVDs it’s not funny…

I can’t believe it’s already been (more than) a month since we released the first episode of the Envato Marketplace Community Podcast! Time flies. We’re very excited to now bring you the second episode available for direct download or via iTunes (or your RSS reader). Thanks so much for all of your amazing feedback for the first episode, it was because of that feedback that we were allowed to make a new show and indeed to continue this as a regular community feature.

This month we have our regular chit-chat, news and speak with ActiveDen veteran and Lead Site Manager, Lance Snider! So be sure to have a listen.

Wooo! Glad to see everyone so far is pretty into the idea.

At the moment we’re looking at a few different options for distribution, including some already established online print on demand services which make distribution a cinch to most areas in the world.

Keep the votes and discussion coming guys, the more we get a feel for what you guys want the better we can do this!

Mugs, Hoodies and stuff!

Hey everyone!

Hope you’re all having a great day/night! I’m posting this as I’m trying to gauge interest in whether or not people would buy from an official online store aimed at the massive Envato community. We are thinking that we could offer clothing like hoodies & t-shirts (high quality – probably American Apparel) and other miscellaneous stuff like caps, mugs or stickers with some cool designs on them. I’d like to point out that we wouldn’t be doing this as a method to generate revenue (we’d sell everything at cost), but more to continue building on our already awesome community spirit. We could hold competitions for designs, slogans etc.

Personally I would love to have a Marketplace hoodie or a Tuts+ mug, but I work for Envato – so maybe I’m biased!

What do you guys think about the idea? If you like it, what kind of stuff would you like to see in the store? If you hate the idea, tell us why!
