Not sure but I think there were better templates that were rejected for fewer reasons than I listed here. At least in my opinion.

+1, this was my feeling to when I saw the template, is more like a free template, sorry to say, but if you give it for free, you’ll not get to many downloads.

For your next template, be more creative, add something new, work more with the menu, add a nice footer, and more space between the elements very important, and so on.

I don’t know why, but the new authors can upload what ever they want, and guess what, in almost all case, are approved in the market, this is more for “Site Templates” category.
