Hi guys,
I got this dumb hobby with my man Bob and made a new site for it. I’m thinking of changing some stuff, so I can sell it as a template.
I’m just wondering if it;s worth the effort? Would anybody be interested in a site like this?
Maybe suggest some stuff if you please.
ps. don’t mind the content.
Regards,
FonZ

city_la.onRelease = function() { SWFAddress.setValue(’/la/’); _root.gotoAndPlay(“laIN”); };
There’s your problem right now (or at least in my opinion). You shouldn’t make a button that tries to move the timeline. The button should only reset the address, the onChange handler of swfAddress should then come into action and move the timeline.
Furthermore I see you don’t reset the value on rollout, but hee, that’s not the real issue here.
Hope that helps.

Do you use swfObject 2 and the latest swfAddress? If so, check the swfAddress forums on how to use it properly. If not, can’t help you based on this.
good luck!

SWFAddress.onChange and swfAddress.onLoad handle the incoming urls and should then provide/trigger the correct content.
So it’s not only the fact it changes an url, it should also trigger content. In essence, your buttons have become address changers and SWFAddress is the content engine.
Good luck,

Use swfObject to embed it or copy paste the entire (regular) embed code to the div. Just make sure to include the needed js script for each method.
good luck!

To be very honest, sounds like a htaccess kind of problem. If it works on another server, why throw up suggestions to change the PHP ? It’s good, it works..
It’s a server problem, go look there, not in the PHP , not in the SWF .

eval is an ancient technique embedded in flash to ‘evaluate’ a certain property. Let’s say you have the name of a movieClip in a string and you have problems passing it, you could try eval(string) and hope it evaluates the string as a movieClip.
Best practise is NOT to use it, people say..
