All it takes is time – as the marketplace grows and expands over time, the quality of the files will inevitably increase – look at what happened to istock ; nothing new under the sun so to speak ; it just takes time – and there’s really no rush ; graphicriver needs to build an “accepted aesthetics guide” of some sort with examples of already selling files that meet the markets quality criteria – there’s nothing more powerful than good examples and showing the authors what to do and what not to do in order to obtain better files that have a chance of being accepted by the reviewers.

+1 visuals / -1 story (simple enough for every average movie goer to get, thus lame) – if you have the chance to see it, make sure you see it in 3D – it’s a great movie, but it has it’s flaws.

Regarding artwork in general: Allot of books, movies – both really old and new, music, some creative showcase sites like designflavr , and of course plain old life xp. (allot of it).

Quick hint: make sure you travel allot by any means – inspiration often comes when moving from place to place (try the bus, seriously) – it’s a proven fact. don’t just take my word for it. try it.
