To begin with, I’ll make it clear that I do not know how many reviewers for submitted content there are and this isn’t exactly a complaint(It’s more of a ‘please improve if you are able’ kinda thing…).

Anyway, I joined sometime last year(or the year before, I forget) and when submitting items to Graphic River my items would always start at around 30th. I have stopped making thing to put on Envato for some time, but today I thought I’d submit something… It’s 158th on the list. Now considering it usually took a couple of days to do 30, I’m expecting this to take a week or more to be reviewed.

Now from what I understand, they release items slowly so that they can be on the front page for a while(correct me if I’m wrong) which is good as it allows some exposure. But the problem is, more and more people are submitting to Envato meaning this list just gets backed up more and more.

I think Envato needs to look into a new way to expose more items so that the reviews can be proceeded faster instead of waiting then doing a little more and waiting again. From my mini calculations, if there were 3 reviewers for Graphic River and they processed 1 item every half an hour for say an average working day of 8hrs… That’s 48 items per day that could be processed at least. Now if they could allow more to be exposed per day, I’m sure submissions would go through faster.

EDIT : I’m an idiot, I read the wrong number… My item is only 42 in graphics and I’m 158th on GR. This could render this post pointless. Laugh if you wish, I won’t be offended.

I did an item update and it was reject simply because I had the new screenshot as a PNG not a JPEG which was my mistake. I was a little disappointed that I waited about 4 days before it got reviewed the first time and they rejected it for such a small thing as that (which would have taken less then a minute to convert a PNG to a JPEG if they had done it for me).

So I hope there is a priority queue, but I doubt it.

So this would be my first submission to ThemeForest (well, going to be). However I would like your opinions on where to take this. I’m going for a minimal documentation design that is lightweight, fast loading, compatible and printer friendly. It uses no images and I’m trying to keep it that way (though your suggestion may change this). However I think If I keep it the way it is, it won’t meet the quality standards because of being to… blank.

LOL , yep shame on them… they’re forcing me to buy stuff. I almost died when I saw how many deposits I’ve done in the past 4 months.
