Though it’s essentially a very rare occurrence, given the thousands of submissions that are processed, it can happen, yes for numerous reasons.

Sometimes, it’s correctly submitted initially, approved or soft rejected for another reason, then an error happens on an update, when an author doesn’t follow instructions, or submits additional incorrect file when they didn’t need to and that slips through.

Sometimes, it can be a review error too, after listening to a few hundred submissions, or for a soft reject update when another reviewer is making sure first reviewer notes were followed, but doesn’t catch incorrect/unannounced additional content. It’s usually caught, but you’d be surprised how frequent incorrect resubmissions are.

Bottom line, there is not one single reason why mistakes can happen, but ultimately it’s also the author’s responsibility to verify that the content they are submitting meets the technical submission requirements.

When an error is reported like this, the author is contacted and the item becomes soft disabled, invisible until it gets updated with replacement files.

For the buyer, if the situation is not immediately resolved with the author, contacting support is the best recourse to advise Staff of the situation, and get you the correct content or an amicable resolution.

That was actually a system error. Fixed now. The “zone” Brownhouse refers to is actually more like 2:00 – 2:02, max 2:03 for the very end of a fade which may be less perceivable .. usually on tracks that have the last little bit of a fade, or silence which crosses the 2:00 mark. there are quite a few submissions we get that essentially, definitively end on 1:56-1:59, with “silence” that crosses the 2:00 mark. It’s our policy to reprice those.

If you have a 2:03+ track that you think is mispriced, report to support or via file update with Notes and we can have a look to see what’s up.

Hi Seldome, unfortunately Ableton source files are not currently accepted as submissions.

Newcomers visit these boards every day. Buyers, potential authors, etc. Some are silent passers-by, some are not. Not everybody knows. Especially when you fail to indicate your “humour” with an appropriate smiley.
