It would be hard to standardize CPT, however, you’re never stuck with them. Maybe a little off-topic, but there’s a great plugin out there that lets you transfer post types if you ever happen to switch themes. Great for individual posts or bulk.
This is by no means an ideal solution but a great short term one that’s worked for me in the past.
Absolutely hate those new iOS default icons. They look like something a 10 year old would throw together if I open up photoshop for him and show him only the shape and gradient tool. Love the new OSX, Love the new MBAs and love the new Mac Pro.
I wonder how icon gradients are considered “Flat” design. Isn’t that the opposite?
Great! So happy this has already got some interest. Just to clarify, I want to know where you are and what events you’ll be attending (if any) in the next 6 months in North America. No promises yet, but it would be cool to try and organise something!
I relocated to Mexico and would love to come to a central U.S place. Even better would be if it was in conjunction with a related conference – web design etc that our community might be attending. As I’m not from these parts, I need to know who would be keen and what kind of things you like to do!To all our Europe peeps, I wish I could get there too! Unfortunately, I don’t think I’ll have the money to get there this year as well. We will get there eventually!
Mexico you say? Which part? Thinking about moving there myself for a few months. The yucatan is beautiful!
Yep, same for me. The “Mark Comments as Read” button doesn’t work and redirects to the homepage while appearing to be logged out.
I actually really love it. I don’t understand why people complain so much about the “metro UI”. It’s not the IDEAL for desktop, but it’s very usable and I think it’s kind of pleasant. If you get a laptop with a touch screen, I believe Windows 8 is the idea OS. When you don’t have your mouse, using a trackpad can be a pain. I often find myself just touching the screen instead of using the trackpad to speed up my workflow when I’m outside the office.
Metro aside, the whole OS Boots fast, has some awesome desktop features (a great task manager), and no issues with any drivers/software so far.
The search feature is really great and is actually one of my favorites. Just hit the windows key on your keyboard and start typing. Need to edit your mouse properties? Just hit the button and type “mouse” – the settings search serves up shortcuts directly to the correct place in your control panel. I always hated clicking through control panel windows to try to find the correct way to adjust something, this just makes it a lot easier and faster.
IMHO avoid Author HQ – its just not very good and as a support solution it is a bit lacking to be polite
THIS wonderful tutorial – http://wp.tutsplus.com/tutorials/plugins/using-bbpress-as-a-support-forum/ and this http://codecanyon.net/item/envato-purchase-code-verifier-for-bbpress/3758462 are both excellent, customisable, and a tried and tested method
I use it, having tried author hq for a few months, given up on it, and switched to this – i cant recommend the above enough
Quick question, when you switched, how to did you transfer all your posts? I believe AuthorHQ uses it’s own database tables.
VF saidIt’s OK to have an opinion and express a desire for us to continue to enhance and improve the Marketplaces, but please don’t attack the Staff personally and say they don’t care. We’ve already introduced several new features this year and we’re busy on adding more. We care very much about improving the functionality of the sites. Thanks!
So one of the selected reason can appear near the item download button. This will easily help the buyer to make a decision. But wait, this is too much for a typical Envato staff to grasp and implement isn’t it? pity that staffs aren’t in harmony with their business.
I agree. I think this feature alone is really great. I don’t like relying on my own bandwidth to create update notifications to my customers and now this is starting to solve that problem. Hats off to the team!
I can’t speak for the author, but most times you need to use your Themeforest username along with your purchase code to create an account. If the author doesn’t get back to you I would try that!
